Since 1985, the First Care Health Services, Inc. family of companies has built a solid reputation for providing quality home health care to Southside and Central Virginia.
During the growing home health care environment of the 1980's, Commonwealth Home Health, Inc. was organized with a dedication to quality, compassion, and innovation. Located in South Boston, Virginia, Commonwealth Home Health has provided the area with home health services since July 1985.
Founded with the same principles, First Dominion Home Health Care was organized in April 1988 in Lynchburg, Virginia. This company provides an array of home health services to the surrounding area.
In January 1992, Personal HomeCare, Inc. was organized to provide personal care and private duty services to the Lynchburg community. In July 1992, Personal HomeCare opened a second office in Halifax, Virginia.
During 1992, First Care Health Services, Inc. was established to provide administrative and support services, such as payroll and accounting, to the above agencies. Hence, all of the agencies "came under one umbrella."
In June 2002, Personal HomeCare, Inc. opened a third location in South Hill, Virginia.
Commonwealth Home Health, Inc. and First Dominion Home Health, Inc. both provide skilled care services, and Personal Homecare, Inc. provides personal care and private duty services, and emergency response systems.
Serving a broad area in Southside and Central Virginia, we strive to continue to expand upon the principles of the first agency.
